Pull-thru Camping Sites
This is the ultimate camping with a big rig. It has the convenience of being able to pull your rig through the site, and the beauty of tall trees. All pull-thru sites have 30 and 50 amp electrical service, water, and sewer available. Most sites include a fire pit and picnic table. The road warriors will enjoy the nearby laundry facilities, weekend warriors will love the ease of set-up and all will enjoy the sandy swimming beach, fishing pier, rec hall, and of course the peaceful family setting. This is truly an “Up North” experience without the long drive.
Pull-thru Helpful Tips:
Flexible sewer lines will almost never clog when they are supported from the camper to the sewer line on an even slope. You may purchase a support from an RV center or make your own by following these suggestions. Pick up a length of 3” PVC pipe (commonly used for septic systems and drainage) at the local building supply center. First cut it to length to match your storage on your bumper. Then cut it in half the long way. A table saw or circular saw with a fine blade works great. Tape the pipe to a scrap piece of wood to keep the pipe from turning as you cut it, and use a blade with lots of teeth.
Add a hanger and a short length of chain attached to the underside of your RV directly above the sewer outlet. Cost for the whole project is under $10. The 2 pieces of pipe are 7′ to 8′ long and can be overlapped as needed to reach 14 feet or more. You can also make a sewer hose storage using 4″ PVC and a couple of standard threaded sewer fittings.
It holds both a 10′ and a 20′ hose and won’t rust like your bumper storage.
